THE RISE OF EURASIA: NEW PERSPECTIVES ON EAST-WEST BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC RELATIONS
Invitation to submit papers
Researchers are invited to submit their papers on the topics listed above. The deadline for submissions of abstracts of no longer than 400 words is 30 May 2016 and should be sent to: research@msm.nl. Abstracts should be accompanied by a short biography. A scientific committee from MSM, ADA University, ALMA Management University, Nanjing University Business School, the Graduate School of Corporate Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) and Abdullah Gul University will review all abstracts. The scientific committee consists of Wim Naudé, Svetlana Shakirova, Fariz Ishmailzade, Sarah Zhang, Sergey Kalendjan and Cengiz Yilmaz.
Preference will be given to new papers since all papers selected for presentation will be considered for a special edition of the EurAsian Journal of Leadership. Accepted papers are due by 28th of August 2016. There is no registration fee.

Themes and topics
This one-day international research conference aims to bring together scholars working on some of central themes that currently define the rise of Eurasia and its implications for East-West business and economic relations, including (but not restricted to):
- China’s soft power: The New Silk Road and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
- Central Asia: Opening up to international investments and diversifying.
- Energy: avoiding conflicts, promoting sustainability.
- Shifting power: Europe’s economic stagnation and potential fragmentation.
- Migration: The patterns and economics of Eurasian migration.
- Security: European sanctions against Russia: Time to redefine EU-Russian relations?
- Conflict: Doing business in a heterogeneous and volatile continent.
- Higher education: what are the opportunities for expansion and development of higher education, and in particular business school co-operation across the continent?
- Turkey: Can Turkey live up to its promise of becoming an economic powerhouse?
- India: Implications of expanding and liberalizing trade and accelerating industrialization and growth: is India the underestimated sub-continent?
